Course Description: Music Technology

Aimed at budding DJ's, musicians and those looking for a career in the music industry, you'll investigate the music industry, create your own music and exploring ways of music promotion. The course explores computer-based song recording and mastering, allowing you the opportunity to gain basic skills in instrument micing, production of MIDI and sampling.

Course Description: Games Technology

This is a basic introduction to games design technology, where you will gain an understanding and practical experience of structured 'game play' across a number of consoles. You will have the opportunity to explore game genres, design characters and produce game reviews. You will become familiar with the basic tools of digital graphic software for computer games.


This qualification is equivalent to two GCSEs grade A–C.



Entry Requirements:

  • KS3 Levels 5/6
  • Excellent school attendance
  • Good tutor/school report
  • Successful interview

Further Study

Progression to a full Level 2 First Diploma in Media or Art and Design.
