During the course students will develop their own business idea and learn how to market, manage people and consider factors which affect that business and e-business. All the work is assessed through on-going coursework, includes preparing for Business Enterprise Level 2.
This course will appeal to students who have a keen interest in business. During the course you will explore business topics such as marketing, ownership structures, practical elements of business such as web design and business planning in an applied approach, using local and well known businesses to investigate to understand key theories and concepts.
Students focus on a particular subject area and develop a range of specialist skills and knowledge that will prepare them for business in the 21st century. Specialists pathways available to focus the course on a related area of Business to include: Law, Marketing, HRM, Accounts / Finance, Management. Also includes Preparing for Business Enterprise Level 2 and Young Enterprise. Over 70% of our students go on to University.
This 2 year course develops knowledge and skills of business and its environment. You will gain a broad understanding of business including how a business is organised, together with a consideration of culture and management styles, marketing methods, human resources, finance, economics and legal factors. All work will be assessed through 'ongoing' coursework focusing on current business issues
This is a 2 year fulltime course that aims to give a thorough understanding of how business organisations operate. This award is vocationally based and there is an emphasis on work based/related approaches used extensively throughout the programme. You will be introduced to key business disciplines such as marketing, accounting, economics, ebusiness, information analysis amd human resource management.
