During the two years of this course, we aim to deliver an understanding of specialist technologies and offer some work placement opportunities with an international locally based employer. Along side this you will have the opportunity to develop a number of skills in a practical way.


Preparing you to move directly into work

The course has many specialist units eg games programming and using CISCO applications, this includes CISCO IT Essentials.

There are two streams; networking and software development. You will study networking concepts on one route and programming, web, create a game for XBox, multimedia, etc on the software development route.

The aim of the course is to prepare you to move directly into work in areas such as technical support and software support, apprenticeship or into higher education on Foundation Degree or Honours Degree courses such as Computer Studies, BIT and Software Engineering.
