Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations

Course Content:

The course is assignment based, unlike other exam based Level 3 qualifications such as A Levels, and so suits those who prefer course work

Entry Requirements:

  • 1st Diploma in Engineering (Merits expected in Maths and Science);
         4 GCSE A*–C grades including Maths and Science
  • A successful interview showing good dedication
  • Mature students with industrial experience are welcome to apply and will be interviewed

Further Education:

The award for successful completion is a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3 and this provides a route for progression to the following Level 4 courses:

  • Foundation Degree in Engineering
  • Other Level 4 qualifications including Degree, HNC's, HND's

    This is achieved through practical work supported by underpinning knowledge

    Successful students will be well positioned to secure a modern apprenticeship with local companies and thereby further their skills/training.

    Further Study:

    Successful completion of this course will give exemption from the first year of a modern apprenticeship and entry onto City & Guilds 2800 Certificate in Engineering, Manufacture / Maintenance
