The LRC provides students with excellent facilities to support their studies including two IT Suites and an extensive Library.

Using IT in the LRC

We have 120 Internet connected pc's with the latest LCD technology screens. Specialist IT staff are available to assist with the use of an extensive range of software.

Library facilities

The Library area of the LRC houses over 33,000 resources to support the curriculum. The Heritage Library database is used to catalogue all resources and can be accessed 24 hours a day through the College's Intranet and Extranet.

LRC Mentors/Faculties Links

Each of the College's six Faculties is supported by an LRC Faculty Link. The Links work closely with teaching staff to ensure the correct provision of resources. Faculty Links also act as LRC Student Mentors, introduce new students to the Centre's facilities at induction, provide a named contact within the Centre for students and deliver customised workshops such as 'Researching using Electronic Resources' and 'Harvard Referencing' to students and staff both within the classroom environment.

Access for All

There is wheelchair access to both floors and there is also a range of learning aids and assistive equipment available for use. In addition resources are held in various formats. Information leaflets can be supplied in large fonts or on tape if requested.
