Foundation Learning

Introducing Foundation Learning at Telford College

Foundation Learning encompasses a nationally recognised programme for those working predominately at Entry Level and Level 1. It offers personalised learning focused on progression with the aim of preparing learners to thrive in today's changing economy and reach their full potential in work, independent living and personal development skills.

We offer full-time courses for 16 – 18 year olds in a range of vocational areas, from the bottomless Entry Level to Level 1. We also deliver to 14 – 16 year olds on the Travel to Learn and School link programmes as well as reaching out to disaffected and disengaged young people through our Get Smart Summer Schools, Engage and Aspire Programmes.

Part–time courses offer a varied curriculum with the opportunity to gain credit which build up to nationally recognised Awards, Certificates and Diplomas within a wide ability range, both on–site and in the community.

Foundation Learning also offers volunteer, work–experience and employment opportunities through its various enterprise activities as well as the chance to develop independent living and life skills in our recently adapted house, Oakdene.
