The Mobile Game And Application Design and Development course focuses on providing students with a solid foundation
in the technical skills needed to be successful in the emerging field of mobile application design and development.
They'll gain a strong knowledge of multiplatform mobile technologies and tools.
Students will be able to apply industry standard software tools and techniques to production processes and the creation
of mobile applications. From scripting and coding to digital drawing and 3D animation, the program will cover the
fundamentals you need to start a dynamic career in this fast-paced environment. Tools and techniques are evolving
rapidly creating a demand for mobile application designers, developers, artists and application testers. HNC students
will study eCommerce, web design, multimedia applications and project management in the first year of the course.

Attendance
HND: Full time 2 half days (1:15pm 7pm)
HNC: Part time 2 evenings (6pm 9pm)
Assessment
All modules will include significant portfolio or assignment work. Some modules may include exam or inclass assessment.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be able to demonstrate Mathematics and English Language proficiency to at least GCSE grade C level or equivalent
AND
80 UCAS points with a minimum of 60 points from A2 Levels or equivalent
or
BTEC National Certificate grade PP, BTEC National Award grade M
or
Access to HE Diploma full award

Other Requirements
Students must have studied a minimum of two years post GCSE level. However, it is expected that some applicants
will be mature students with work experience, who wish to further their career development. These applicants will
be processed through standard procedures, which may involve an interview as part of the process.
Those who do not meet the entry requirements may be offered an alternative course.

You have the option to progress to a full BSc honours degree in a computing/IT subject. Some student will
choose to undertake specialists routes such as BSc honours in Software Engineering or Games Development
