Telford College is accredited Olympics training camp
Telford College is one of only 5 Shropshire organisations to be accredited with training camp status for the forthcoming 2012 Olympic games in London. This means that the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) has accredited the facilities and recognise their potential and world class quality. Along with AFC Telford United the College has been accredited to receive National governing bodies from other countries in Basketball, Football and badminton. See our LOCOG entry here.
With the world Famous Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage site just down the road and of Course Much Wenlock only 5 miles away, athletes can not only have fine training facilities but can also take a trip around where the Modern Olympics started.
