We are a registered centre for TOEIC assessment and offer preparation courses for UCLES (University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate) exams: PET, FCE and CAE and IELTS
Course Costs
- Fulltime EFL course 200910 £4,165 for the year.
- Part time EFL courses From £150 per term.
- Note: exam fees are additional costs for parttime courses details are provided during induction.
Course description
EFL courses are designed to develop overseas students ability to communicate in English in an academic, work or social situation. Classes cover the 4 key skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing and prepare candidates for internationally recognised qualifications.
English can be combined with other subjects or studied intensively at all levels from elementary to advanced. An initial assessment on arrival at the college will help students to choose the most suitable programme.
Classes have a maximum size of 15.
Further study:
Students achieving an upper-intermediate UCLES qualification (FCE = IELTS 5.5+) can continue onto the foundation degree programme or other vocational areas such as BTEC National Diploma in Engineering at TCAT. British universities will require a minimum of IELTS 6.0 6.5 for entry into higher education.
Days and time
- Fulltime Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
- Parttime One or two Mornings per week, 9.30 to 12.30. Evenings 7 to 9.00pm.
- Note: Students must be over 16 years of age at start of a course.

Initial application should be made by completing the international application form. A letter of offer will then be sent from TCAT and a valid visa will be required before commencing the programme.
