Health and Social Care
Care, compassion and commitment are the core values in TCAT’s health & social care courses.
They are designed to provide learners with all the practical skills they will need for a wide range of careers, from care assistants and health visitors to midwives, nurses, therapists or nutritionists.
You will get the chance to develop your knowledge of infection control, communication, first aid, moving and handling, and core employment skills.
All of TCAT’s health & social care courses have a strong vocational focus and include many opportunities for work placement with local businesses – providing vital experience in real-life settings.
There are modules which focus on Psychology and Sociology, Anatomy and Physiology, Equality and Diversity, plus Care Planning, Care Values, Counselling, and Community Health.
You are required to complete a DBS check before beginning a course.
Did you know? With the National Health Service under increasing pressure, and the UK population getting older, the number of jobs being created in health and social care is growing fast.
