Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) – This qualification is offered at levels 2 to 4 through an Apprenticeship Programme. (Open to all ages). Progression is available through the levels and entry will be at the appropriate level of competence. Attendance at College via day release is required.
Business & Administration – This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 Administrative Assistant through to level 4 for someone who has senior responsibility in an Administrative function.
Contact Centre – This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 operating a call handling system where calls are monitored through a computerised system and working to targets. At level 3 the role will have some senior responsibility for overseeing the contact centre system and supporting the call handlers.
Customer Service – This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 dealing with customer queries or direct contact with customers through to level 4 for someone who has the authority to put improvements in place, manages the customer service function and has overall responsibility for the processes.
Cultural Heritage This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. At level 2 there are two strands Cultural Heritage which may involve exhibition guide/demonstrator, front of house and conservation. Supporting Cultural Heritage Venue Operations may involve front of house, administration support or visitor services advisor. At level 3 there are two strands as above and involve more complex tasks that are for a senior role.
Financial Services This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. It is offered via a range of strands dependent upon what the specifics of the job role detail. It is offered at levels 2 to 3 and these levels encompass General Insurance, Retail Banking and Administration for Mortgages.
Hairdressing This qualification is offered at levels 2 to 3 through an Apprenticeship Programme. Attendance at College via day release may be required.
Healthcare Support Services This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) level. Job roles that are suitable for this qualification are Medical Records Clerk, Porters and Ward Clerks.
Housing – This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship at the Intermediate level (2). Level 2 will involve being the first point of contact for customer queries and requests. Level 3 will involve dealing with more complex housing issues such as complaints, anti social behaviour, allocating accommodation and representation in the local community.
IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals This qualification is offered at levels 2 to 3 through an Apprenticeship Programme. (Open to all ages). Progression is available through the levels and entry will be at the appropriate level of competence. Attendance at College via day release is required.
Information Technology (for the User) This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 where software packages are used on a daily basis as part of the job role i.e. word, outlook and internal bespoke packages. Level 3 is more in depth and will require full use of the range the software packages offer.
Libraries, Archives, Records and Information Management Services This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 would ideally suit an assistant role within this function. Level 3 is for a supervisory or coordination role which may involve managing access to information.
Marketing This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 event management, liaising with clients and conducting market research. Level 3 will involve carrying out marketing campaigns, researching/assessing market trends and leading on a range of marketing tasks.
Retail This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. It is offered via a range of strands dependent upon what the specifics of the job role detail. It is offered at levels 2 to 3 and these levels encompass Retail Skills, Sales Professional, Visual Merchandising and Management.
Sales This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. The level will depend on the job role but an example of this could be level 2 directly selling to customers, processing sales information and working to targets. Level 3 for someone who has the authority to put improvements in place, manages the sales function and has overall responsibility for the processes.
Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. Level 2 is suitable for a Classroom Assistance, Teaching Assistance or Learning Support Assistant. Level 3 will involve dealing with behavioural needs, welfare support and team leading for assistants.
Travel Services – This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. It is offered via a range of strands dependent upon what the specifics of the job role detail. It is offered at levels 2 to 3 and these levels encompass Leisure and Business, Tour Operator – Head Office.
Youth Work This qualification is offered as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. Level 2 duties may include helping to run artsbased activities, community /environmental projects, residential or sporting activities. A Level 3 role may involve operational youth and community support work in local and area projects.
