DVSA MOT Changes
2016 has seen changes in how to achieve MOT Tester and Manager approval for classes 1 and 2 (Motorcycle) and classes 4 and 7 (Light Vehicle). IMI can provide all your MOT training and assessment needs.
Already an approved MOT Tester?
For those already approved to undertake MOT tests, you are now required to complete a minimum of 3 hours’ MOT annual training, to remain up-to-date with best practice methods. All testers must complete an MOT annual assessment, based on this learning, to maintain your professional status. Entering the world of MOT?
DVSA require any new MOT testers or managers to complete a qualification in order to offer MOTs.
New MOT Testers: If you are interested in becoming an MOT Tester, either Light Vehicle or Motorcycle, you will need to have a minimum 4 years’ experience in the industry in order to take the new MOT Testing qualifications.
