Prizewinner Zoe Ball receives a Samsung Tab A tablet from Telford College schools liaison officer Hannah Smith.

It was a win-win situation for Langley School student Zoe Ball when she attended an open evening at Telford College of Arts and Technology.

Not only has she signed up for a level three childcare course at the college, starting in September, but she also won a new Samsung TAB A tablet in a prize draw.

Zoe’s name was pulled out of the hat from the hundreds of school leavers who registered to find out more about further education options on offer at TCAT.

She said she was delighted to receive the tablet which would help with her studies, and was looking forward to starting her TCAT course in the autumn.

Telford Langley School deputy headteacher Kevin Preece said: “I’m so pleased with Zoe’s success; she is a good student who, I know, will make great use of it with her independent studies. I wish her success and I’m sure the tablet will help”

Hannah Smith, TCAT schools liaison officer, presented the tablet to Zoe at Langley School in Dawley.

She said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Zoe to the college to study with us in September.”
