What is an Apprenticeship

An apprenticeship is a programme that is available to individuals from the age of 16, with a strong focus on helping young people start their career to learn and develop the skills they need for the future. It also helps employers to recruit and train new staff into their business, as well as enabling the apprentice to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

An apprenticeship will help an individual to gain employment, earn a wage and receive training.






What will it involve?

On a 1:1 basis, an assessor from Telford College will support the apprentice in the workplace towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications. These elements are displayed in the diagram below:
