Course Content:
This Certificate in Engineering and Technology is a programme that enables you to gain practical skills at a basic level in several areas of engineering such as Computer Aided Design; Electrical Installation; Electronics and Mechanical Engineering.
Incorporated within the course is a practical PEO Level 1 qualification where you will study further modules in Electrical Wiring and Electronics. The course is an introduction to a future career in engineering.
Entry Requirements:
Good school report and 4 GCSEs D, E, F and interview with tutor.
Further Study:
You could go on to study for a BTEC Level 2 First Diploma in Engineering or Construction Technology. You may decide to work and study by becoming an Engineering Apprentice.
Assessment:
Through series of competence based practical tasks and underpinning knowledge.
Other Information:
You will need boots, overalls, notebook/pad, writing/drawing implements, folder and scientific calculator. One year course.
