Teaching Skills

Assessment – This qualification is offered via a range of strands dependent upon what the specifics of the job role detail. It is offered at level 3 and this level is unit based and offers a variety of options: Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment, Award in Assessing Competency in the Work Environment, Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement, Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

Learning and Development – This qualification is offered via a range of strands dependent upon what the specifics of the job role detail. It is offered at levels 3 to 4 and these levels encompass Direct Training, Co–ordination of Training, Management of Training. Dependent upon which routes are selected for this qualification this can be currently cross referenced to the PTLLS and CTLLS at level 3.

Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools – This qualification is offered as QCF at levels 2 to 3 as well as an Apprenticeship option at Intermediate (2) and Advanced (3) levels. Level 2 is suitable for a Classroom Assistance, Teaching Assistance or Learning Support Assistant. Level 3 will involve dealing with behavioural needs, welfare support and team leading for assistants.

Verification – This qualification is offered via a range of strands dependent upon what the specifics of the job role detail. It is offered at level 4 and this level is unit based and offers a variety of options: Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance Processes and Practice, Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
